Infosec Connect is committed to protecting the privacy of our users, and strives to provide a safe user experience. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use online data. By using this Website or application, you agree to the collection, use and transfer of your data as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information collected on the Website is stored in the United States; therefore, your information is subject to U.S. law.

Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect or use on the Infosec Connect, LLC (“Infosec” or “We”) website located at (the “Website”). We may link to other websites over which we have no control. Infosec is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of other websites. You may wish to review the privacy policies of those sites so you can understand how they collect, use, and share your information.

Terms that are not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in our Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement or in any other contractual document between you and us.

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. Such changes, modifications, additions or deletions shall be effective immediately upon notice thereof, which may be given by means including, but not limited to, issuing an email to the email address listed by registered users and/or by posting a notice and the revised Privacy Policy on the applicable InfoSec Connect website. You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to maintain a valid email address as a registered user, and to review the Site and this Privacy Policy periodically in order to be aware of any modifications. Your continued use of the Services after such modifications will constitute your:

  1. acknowledgment of the modified Privacy Policy; and

Information We Collect

We collect information about you when you use the Website. We collect information directly from you such as your contact information, resume, and profile information. We receive and store this information when you enter it on the Website, send it to us, or provide it to us in any other way.

We also collect information about you automatically. We automatically collect information about how you use our Website, the areas of our Website that you visit, as well as information about your computer or mobile device including your IP address, device ID, physical location, browser and operating system type, and referring URLs. This information is necessary for providing personalized and location- based content as well as for analyzing web traffic, troubleshooting problems, preventing fraud, and improving our services. We may combine this information with information in your account to help prevent fraud.
For example, depending on the services you use, we collect:

Employer Services:

  • Information you submit to the Website related to the employer, including but not limited to, the company name and address, account names for various social media, name and contact information of company representative, type and size of company, industry, annual revenue, mission statement or description of company, and year founded.
  • Information you submit to the Website for any job posting, including but not limited to, job title, description, location, educational and skill requirements, compensation.
  • Information imported by you or your connections from third party applications.
  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our Site, responding to surveys, creating an account, subscribing to the Services, posting material, communicating with our personnel, requesting further services, entering a contest, taking part in a promotion, or reporting a problem
  • User Contributions, i.e., you may provide information to be published or displayed on public areas of the Site, or transmitted to other users of the Site or third parties
  • If you authorize InfoSec Connect to connect your account to the account of a “Connected Site” (e.g., LinkedIn, Monster, Facebook or Twitter), we may be able to access information you have provided to the Connected Site, such as content information, timeline feeds, contact and follow lists, network statistics and updates regarding your Connected Site account
  • Other information you may submit to the Website.

Candidate Services:

  • Personal information you submit to the Website, including but not limited to, name, contact information, profiles on social media, photograph, and any government security clearances.
  • Information you submit to the Website related to your job-related qualifications, including but not limited to, resume, skills, education, work experience, and current and desired compensation.
  • Information imported by you or your connections from third party applications.
  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our Site, responding to surveys, creating an account, subscribing to the Services, posting material, communicating with our personnel, requesting further services, entering a contest, taking part in a promotion, or reporting a problem
  • “User Contributions”, i.e., you may provide information to be published or displayed on public areas of the Site, or transmitted to other users of the Site or third parties
  • If you authorize InfoSec Connect to connect your account to the account of a “Connected Site” (e.g., LinkedIn, Monster, Facebook or Twitter), we may be able to access information you have provided to the Connected Site, such as content information, timeline feeds, contact and follow lists, network statistics and updates regarding your Connected Site account
  • Location based information for the purpose of setting up your job search preferences. We will not share this information with any third party.

We may collect information about you from publicly-available websites. We may use this information to create a profile, even if you do not have an account with us, or append it to an existing profile. You will have the opportunity to claim collected information relating to you and to change its visibility setting or remove the information. However we cannot guarantee that we will not later collect from publicly- available websites other information that pertains to you.

We may receive a confirmation when you open an email from Infosec if your computer supports this type of program.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to provide our services, respond to you, operate and improve the Website, and foster a positive user experience.

By registering with Infosec, by managing your profile, or by opting in when presented with choices, you have consented for us to use your information in the following ways:

  • To create a profile for you based on information that you have provided to us, information collected or imported from other sites or applications, or information provided to us by third parties such as your contacts or advertisers;
  • To administer our Site and its contents to you;
  • To provide you with information, products or services that you need depending on the type of Services you use;
  • To provide you with notices about your account and/or your subscription, including expiration and renewal notices;
  • To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection;

  • To enable you to contact us and for us to respond to you to conduct surveys, promotions and contests, and to publish the results thereof;
  • To provide information about you and your potential interest in job postings to employer customers;
  • To display targeted messages from employers based on the content of your resume or profile;
  • To provide products and services to employer customers to complete the recruitment and hiring process;
  • To generate internal reports about the use of the Website;
  • To provide customers with reports about the characteristics and trends of the job market including availability of talent;
  • To give search engines access to public information; and to detect, investigate and prevent activities that may violate our policies or be illegal.


Information you post in the resume and profile database may be accessed, used, and stored by any employer subscribing to our services around the world, including those in countries that might not have legislation that guarantees adequate protection of personal information as defined by your country of residence. While Infosec takes measures to safeguard your information from unauthorized access or inappropriate use, Infosec does not control these third parties and we are not responsible for their use of information you give to us. Accordingly, you should not post sensitive information, personality profiles, or any other information you would not want made public, to the Website or to a public website.

You may unsubscribe from any Infosec promotional email communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in such communications.

How We Share Information

We provide you with a platform to broadcast information about yourself to maximize your career opportunities. We do not share contact information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes unless you affirmatively agree to such disclosure.

  1. We share your information with third parties who help deliver our products and services to you. Examples include hosting our web servers, including resume database storage, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, processing credit card payments, and providing customer service. These companies will have access to your personal information as necessary to perform their functions, but they may not use that data for any other purpose. We will remain responsible for any information shared in this way.
  2. To enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement or other agreements with you
  3. Third party vendors who we use to support our business and help provide end services to you, including, but not limited to, credit card processing and other billing service providers, customer service providers, and email service providers. We may also authorize third party vendors to collect information on our behalf, including as necessary to operate certain features of our Site or to facilitate the delivery of online advertising tailored to your interests. Third-party vendors have access to and may collect information only as needed to perform their functions and are not permitted to share or use the information for any other purpose.
  4. To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it. For example, if you give us an e-mail address to use the “share this posting” feature of our Site, we will transmit the contents of that e-mail and your e-mail address to the recipients
  5. Credit reference agencies for the purpose of assessing your credit score where this is a condition of us entering into a contract with you
  6. With prospective employers and recruiters (and/or with their external Applicant Tracking System or similar external system used by such companies to manage responses to their job postings), if you respond to a job posting
  7. We disclose information if legally required to do so, or at our discretion pursuant to a request from a governmental entity or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to: (a) meet legal requirements or comply with legal process; (b) protect our rights or property or our affiliated companies; (c) prevent a crime or protect national security; or (d) protect the personal safety of users or the public.
  8. From time to time, we may run contests, special offers, or other events or activities “Sponsored Events” on our Services together with a third party partner. If you provide information to such third parties, you give them permission to use it for the purpose of that Event and any other use that you approve. We cannot control third parties’ use of your information. If you do not want your information to be collected by or shared with a third party, you can choose not to participate in these Events
  9. We may disclose and transfer information to a third party who acquires any or all of Infosec’s business units, whether such acquisition is by way of merger, consolidation or purchase of all or a substantial portion of our assets. In addition, in the event Infosec becomes the subject of an insolvency proceeding, such information will be disposed of in a transaction approved by the court. You will be notified of the sale of all or a substantial portion of our business to a third party by email or through a prominent notice posted on the Website.
  10. We may disclose information to third parties if you consent. For example:
    1. if you make your resume searchable or if we collect information you’ve made available on a public website then all parties with access to our resume or profile database products will have access to your information;
    2. if you opt in to receive information about the opportunities, products, or services of third parties, we supply your contact information to those third parties so they may contact you;

By applying to a job, providing your contact information to show interest in a job, or by replying to a message from an employer, you consent to the disclosure of your information to that employer.

An Important Note About Your Resume

When you create or post a resume, we store it in our resume and profile database in the United States. Once you create or post your resume, it can be accessed and viewed by any employer subscribing to our services. We cannot control the retention, use or privacy of resumes that have been viewed or downloaded by others.

We attempt to limit access to our resume and profile database to legitimate users, but cannot guarantee that other parties will not gain access to this database. We cannot control the use made of resumes by third parties who access the database. Once your resume has been disclosed, Infosec Connect is not able to retrieve it from the third parties who accessed it.

You may remove your resume and profile from our database at any time. If you do not have an account with us, we may require you to provide us with information about yourself so we can locate your profile and delete it. However anyone who viewed your resume or profile may have kept a copy of it in their own files or databases. Accordingly, you should not put sensitive information, personality profiles, or other information you would not want made public, in your resume or profile.

If you provide us with details of a reference, it is your responsibility to ensure that the person is aware that you have forwarded his/her details and has consented in writing for you to do so.

Resumes or profiles you give to us must not contain sensitive data relating to your (i) racial or ethnic origin; (ii) political beliefs; (iii) philosophical or religious beliefs; (iv) membership of a trade union or political party; (v) physical or mental health or biometric details or genetic makeup; (vi) addictions, sexual life; (vii) the commission of criminal offences or proceedings and associated penalties or fines; (viii) the commission of any unlawful or objectionable conduct and associated penalties; or (ix) any Social Security Number or national identification number. If your resume or profile does contain this information, then you agree that it is at your own risk. We cannot control third parties’ access to such information from our database.

How We Protect Your Information

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect any Personal Information we process about you. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. Any payment transactions and credit or debit card data will be encrypted.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your Personal Information, you acknowledge that:

  1. there are security and privacy limitations of the Internet which are beyond our control;
  2. the security, integrity and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through this Site cannot be guaranteed; and
  3. any such information and data may be viewed or tampered with in transit by a third party.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone and keep your account information secure. We urge you to be careful about giving out information in public areas of the Site like message boards.

In the event that Personal Information is compromised as a result of a breach of security, InfoSec Connect will notify those persons whose Personal Information has been compromised, in accordance with the notification procedures set forth in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise required by applicable law.

Public Forums


You should be aware that when you voluntarily disclose any Personal Information in a public forum on the Site, this information, along with any information disclosed in your communication, can be collected and used by third parties and may result in unsolicited messages from third parties. Such activities are beyond our control and this Privacy Policy does not apply to such information. You accept that you, and not InfoSec Connect, are responsible for providing such information in any public forum. Any submissions to public areas on the Site are accepted by you with the understanding that such forums are accessible to all third parties. If you do not want your comments or any content to be viewed by third parties, you are advised not to make any submissions. Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your password and/or account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you’re online.


How We Store Information


Because managing your career is a life-long process, we retain all the information we gather about you in an effort to make repeat use of the Website more efficient, practical and relevant until you change or remove your personal information as described below. You may access, review, correct, update, change or delete your resume or profile at any time. Sign into your account, go to your resume or profile, and make the desired changes. If you do not have an account, please contact us.


If you wish to delete your account information altogether, please contact us.

We will send you an email to confirm that your personal information has been deleted (save for an archival copy which is not accessible by you or third parties on the Internet). The archival copy is retained only for as long as needed for audit and record purposes. We will also keep logs and information that may relate to your activity on the Website.

We will respond to information access requests without undue delay of receipt and in any event within 30 days. If we require additional time to provide access to your information, we will acknowledge receipt of your request within 30 days and promptly supplement our response within the time period required by applicable law.

If you do not sign in to your account or interact with our services, including continuing to receive emails from us, for a significant period of time, your account will expire and be scheduled for removal from the Website. Expired accounts are deleted on a periodic basis. Our current expiration period is approximately 36 months; we may extend or reduce this period in order to adjust to changing hiring patterns. If your account contains a resume, you will receive an email from us before we delete your resume in this manner.



You are responsible for keeping your username and password secret and secure, and you should be careful to log out of your account after you have finished any given session, especially if you are using a public computer. Infosec takes appropriate measures to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. However, the Internet is an open system and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat those measures or use your personal information for improper purposes. When you place an order online at Infosec, your credit card information is encrypted with industry standard encryption.



The Website is not intended for, nor do we knowingly collect information from, (i) children under the age of 18, or the age of majority as defined in your jurisdiction, without the consent of a parent or legal guardian; or (ii) children under the age of 13.  If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us.

Changes to Privacy Policy

If we decide to materially change the substance of this Privacy Policy, we will, where required, contact you via the email address that you maintain in your profile. Infosec may revise these Terms (including the Privacy Policy and any Specific Terms of Service) at any time and from time to time by posting an updated version of these Terms to the Website. You should visit this page periodically to review the most current Terms because they are binding against You. Your continued use of the Service after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms of Use. If you do not agree to any of these terms or any future Agreements, do not use or access (or continue to access) the Service. This Agreement applies to all employers, companies, job seekers, visitors, employees, contractors and any others who visit the website and/or access the Service (“Users”).

Cookies and Online Advertising

Infosec uses “cookies” to help personalize and maximize your online experience and time online, including for storing user preferences, improving search results and ad selection, and tracking user trends. A cookie is a text file stored on your computer. Cookies store bits of information that we use to help make the Website work. They can’t run any code and don’t contain viruses. No one can read our cookies except us. Some cookies will remain on your computer after you have left the Website.

We also allow other companies to display advertisements to you while you are using the Website and applications. Because your web browser must request these advertisements from the other companies’ servers, these companies can view, edit or set their own cookies, just as if you had requested a web page from their site. Infosec has no control over, and is not responsible for, the practices of those third party advertisers. The data stored in these cookies is anonymous and the information is not linked to your personally identifiable information without your permission.  Infosec also uses JavaScript.

  1. Tracking Technologies.InfoSec Connect and its partners use cookies or similar technologies to analyze trends, administer the website, track users’ movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. You can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level, but if you choose to disable cookies, it may limit your use of certain features or functions on our website or service.
  2. Blocking Cookies.You can also set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use our Site through your access to some functionality and areas of our Site may be restricted. As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser-to-browser, you should visit your browser’s help menu for more information.
  3. Log File Information.Log file information is automatically reported by your browser each time you access a web page. These server logs may include information such as your web request, IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages and URLs, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, and other such information. We do not link this automatically collected data to any other information we collect about you.
  4. Local Storage Objects (FLASH/HTML5).We may use Local Storage Objects (LSOs) to store content information and preferences. Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on our site or to display advertising based upon your Web browsing activity may use LSOs to collect and store information.
    Various browsers may offer their own management tools for removing LSOs.  We may partner with a third party to either display advertising on our Services or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our third party partner may use technologies such as cookies to gather information about your activities on the Services and other sites in order to provide you with advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests.
  5. Clear Gifs Information.When you use our Services, InfoSec Connect or our third party analytics providers may employ clear gifs (also known as web beacons) which are used to track the online usage patterns of our users anonymously and help us better manage content on our Site by informing us of what content is effective. No personally identifiable information from your InfoSec Connect account is collected using these clear gifs. In addition, we may also use clear gifs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened by recipients. The information is used to enable more accurate reporting, improve the effectiveness of our marketing, and make InfoSec Connect better for our users.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, third-party advertisers. Please consult the respective privacy policies of such advertisers for more information.

  1. Tracking across Third Party Websites.Some third party websites do keep track of your browsing activities when they serve you content, which enables them to tailor what they present to you. If you are visiting such sites, certain website browsers allow you to set the DNT signal on your browser so that third parties (particularly advertisers) know you do not want to be tracked. The Services does not respond to Do Not Track (“DNT”) signals on your browser. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.
  2. Mobile Analytics.We use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our Mobile Software on your phone. This software may record information such as how often you use the application, the events that occur within the application, aggregated usage, performance data, and where the application was downloaded from.

Social Media and Widgets

Our Services includes social media features, such as the Facebook Like button and Widgets, and the Share this button or interactive mini-programs that run on our Site. These features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our Services, and may set a cookie to enable the Feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Services. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing such features.

Third Party Web Sites


Except as otherwise discussed in this Privacy Policy, this document only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. Other websites accessible through our Site have their own privacy policies and data collection, use and disclosure practices. Please consult each website’s privacy policy. We are not responsible for the policies or practices of third parties. Additionally, other companies which place advertising on our Site may collect information about you when you view or click on their advertising through the use of cookies. We cannot control this collection of information. You should contact these advertisers directly if you have any questions about their use of the information that they collect.

California residents may choose to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes or choose to opt out of such disclosure. Notification Procedures


It is our policy to provide notifications, whether such notifications are required by law or are for marketing or other business related purposes, to you via email notice, written or hard copy notice, or through conspicuous posting of such notice on our Site, as determined by InfoSec Connect in its sole discretion. We reserve the right to determine the form and means of providing notifications to you, provided that you may opt out of certain means of notification as described in this Privacy Policy.


Access to Information (for residents in the United Kingdom)


The Data Protection Act 1988 (“Act“) gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

The InfoSec Connect website is operated by Infosec Connect, LLC, an Idaho limited liability company, whose principal place of business is at 2635 South Channing Way, Garden Level, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83404.  For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, InfoSec Connect is the “data controller” in respect of personal information that we obtain in connection with the InfoSec Connect website. We host and store your Personal Information on servers situated in the United States.

InfoSec Connect As a Data Processor


The use of information collected through our service shall be limited to the purpose of providing the service for which the Client has engaged InfoSec Connect.

With respect to Personal Information provided by a client of InfoSec Connect to InfoSec Connect, we collect such information under the direction of that client and have no direct relationship with the individuals whose Personal Information we process. If you are a customer of such a InfoSec Connect client and would no longer like to be contacted by such client, please contact the client directly. If you seek access or want to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data, you must direct to request to that InfoSec Connect client (the data controller). If requested to remove data, we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. We may transfer personal information to companies that help us provide our service. Transfers to subsequent third parties are covered by our service agreements with our Clients.

We will retain Personal Information that we process on behalf of our clients for as long as needed to provide services to our client. InfoSec Connect will retain this personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and in accordance with our internal record keeping policies.
